Do you charge a call-out fee?
No — never. No call-out fee for any service. No VAT added either. The price quoted is the total paid. If we attend to diagnose a repair and you don't want to proceed, you pay nothing at all and we walk away.
How much does a locksmith cost in Liverpool?
For simple jobs like lockouts and standard cylinder changes, a price is given on the phone before attending. For repairs that need diagnosing, we attend free and give the exact cost on site. How quickly can you reach me in Liverpool?
Target response for emergencies is 30 minutes, typically 30–60 minutes depending on your postcode. The honest ETA is given when you call. City centre (L1–L3) is usually 15–25 minutes; outer suburbs like Crosby or Woolton are 25–40 minutes.
Do you charge more at night?

Can you open a door without causing damage?
In the majority of cases, yes. Non-destructive entry — lock picking and manipulation — is always attempted first. The lock stays intact and the original key continues to work. Drilling is only used as an absolute last resort, and only after explaining why it's necessary. See our non-destructive entry page.
Are your locks insurance approved?
Yes. All cylinders fitted are TS007 3-star anti-snap rated and all mortice locks are BS3621 5-lever — these are the British Standard specifications required by most UK home insurance policies. Secured by Design compliance met as standard. Documentation provided on request for insurers.
Do you cover St Helens and Widnes?
Yes — both are core working areas, not out-of-area extras. St Helens (WA9–WA12) is typically 30–45 minutes, Widnes (WA8) is typically 30–40 minutes. Same pricing as Liverpool, no distance surcharge, no bridge toll supplement for Widnes. See Locksmith St Helens and Locksmith Widnes.
